Sorrento is surrounded on three sides by ravines above the sea and makes a perfect location for an unforgettable break, all year round. A bustling centre with shops, restaurants and lively cafes open throughout the year, it is also an excellent starting point for exploring Pompei, Capri and the rest of the Amalfi coast. A sandy beach can be reached either by lift or on foot via the picturesque ravine.
Positano is probably the most exclusive resort on the Neapolitan Riviera. It appears as a white cascade of houses among vegetation, lying on terraced land and looking out on a particularly blue sea. Strolling along the charming steep alleys, meandering through the innumerable boutiques of local famous world wide fashion you can reach the two little beaches set in an inlet in the cliffs. The dome-shaped architecture and the typical cuic houses give the place an oriental atmosphere. Nureiev had his fabulous villa on one little island opposite. It has been chosen by writers, film directors and the like for its charm and character. You will enjoy finding your favourite corner in the maze of narrow cobbled streets lined with elegant boutiques, excellent restaurants and lively cafes. Positano is linked to Capri, Naples and Amalfi by a regular ferry service and to Sorrento by bus.
