VILLA SAINA – TORRITA DI SIENA
Located on a hilly position, with panoramic views over the countryside, Villa Sania is a beautiful farmhouse, originating in the 1300s. Although restored to offer all the modern requirements, the house still preserves its original structure with terracotta floors and brick arches. Just a few minutes from the medieval town of Toritta di Siena, with its beautiful main square and tower, the house is perfect for those who are looking for a quiet holiday home that is close to shops and restaurants. If you visit just towards the end of March (the Sunday after March 19), you can enjoy the most important event in town: Palio dei Somari, a donkey race. You will have the opportunity of tasting traditional dishes, attend medieval performances and enjoy the evening banquet.

The villa itself develops over three levels.

On the ground floor we find a large living room with sofas in front of a beautiful fireplace, dining room with table and chairs, a large kitchen with another fireplace, bathroom with shower and laundry room.

On the first floor, with access from both internal and external stairs, we have another living room with fireplace and TV, two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with shower, one double bedroom with fireplace and bathroom with shower and bathtub, another double bedroom.

In the attic (height 1.2m – 1.8m), we find a bedroom with two single beds, a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

Outside, the villa is surrounded by a beautiful and large garden with a pine forest, olive trees, vineyards and meadows that are all part of the property. There is a private swimming pool (10 x 5m; 1.2 – 1.8m deep), children’s playground and a large covered patio with table and chairs, perfect for al-fresco dining.

Facilities: washing machine, dishwasher, satellite TV, microwave, hairdryer in each bedroom, Wi-Fi Internet, mosquito nets, iron and ironing board, oven, freezer, toaster, juicer, American coffee maker, pets allowed.
