This festival is located in Montevago, Agrigento, and is a must-visit if you love wine. And, what is a visit to Italy without wine tasting? The festival is located in Sicily’s south-west region, which is known for its premier bottles. They celebrate the grape harvest each year in October by hosting a wine-centric party that everyone can join.

Ottobrata Zafferanese

This cultural fair takes place in the town of Zafferana Etnea in eastern Sicily. It’s a celebration of the bounty of Mount Etna, and it takes place over the course of a month. It began during the end of the 70s and still holds strong today. Visitors can expect wine, food, music, crafts, and lots of local traditions. This isn’t just one festival though as it’s divided up into four or five, depending on how many weeks are in the month. There are celebrations for honey, grapes, apples, mushrooms, and chestnuts.
