Badia a Coltibuono

This estate packs in the culture and beauty of Tuscany, all in one place. Visitors here will find organic gardens, vintage decorations, antiquated churches, farms, trattorias, hotels, and fine wines. It pretty much has it all, giving you plenty to explore while you taste some of Tuscany’s best wine. It was once a monastery in the 11th century, giving the property plenty of historic character.

Badia a Coltibuono

Formerly a monastery, this Chianti Classico estate is now open for wine tasting and fine dining. The property is full of antiquated charm, with rustic buildings, and manicured gardens to roam around. This hamlet and associated vineyards were once abandoned, but 30 years later, they make a stunning setting for wine tasting. It’s a 12th century castle that has been renovated, and now includes art installations and famous wines like Haiku Chianti Classico. The newly renovated restaurant is set in a traditional Tuscan house that will have a stunning view of the vineyards and the art installations.

Biondi Santi – Tenuta il Greppo

This is one of the world’s most famous wineries, and it’s right here in Tuscany. In fact, part of its claim to fame is that the first bottle of Brunello di Montalcino was bottled here back in 1888. Visitors will find this beautiful spot high in the hills of Montalcino, overlooking the rolling vineyards below. This spot is worth a visit just for its history alone, but the serene setting makes it even better.
