Cristina’s flat in Taormina is just perfect. In the heart of all the energy and buzz but quiet and private. Beautiful view and great amenities not to mention the host stocked the fridge for us and was incredibly helpful. Will stay again!
The apartment is very cozy and homey. The kitchen was well stocked with a welcome basket and the essentials for a comfortable stress free stay. The hostess, Alessandra, was exceptional. She was extremely communicative and easy to get in touch with. She greeted us and made sure we were oriented with location of supermarkets and great nearby restaurants. She helped us with taxis and organized a superb private tour to Mt Etna and lunch at a winery. (Our guide Natalie was also very good, experienced and accommodating). Overall, we loved the apartment, location and hostess
We loved the location, and the house plus the views were beautiful. We do have some feedback however. We are three tech savvy guys but still struggled with all the electronic controls for lights and shutters. Would recommend that you label the switches for easy operation (the manual was hard to follow). Also, we ran out of toilet paper and there was no paper towels, bin liners or hand wash provided. With the strict bond policy regarding cleaning, the host should provide the basics so that we are able to keep the house clean for the . The extensive security cameras inside and outside did make us feel uneasy as we were there to enjoy our holiday, and did not expect to be under surveillance. AirBnB allows you to put a security deposit into their system however we had to take our cash on arrival which if anything has gone wrong would not have allowed a mediator to assist. Further, It would have been great to have the hot water switched on and ready to go on arrival as we ended up having to wait til the following day for the water to heat up to shower after a long day traveling - not ideal. Last note is that we still did really enjoy our stay here, the balcony was fantastic and the location right in the heart. Thanks
