If you wish to have an unforgettable “made in Italy” wedding, we can make it come true! If you plan on getting married in Tuscany or in other regions of Italy we can assist you with every aspect of your event from the legal matters of the ceremony to the accommodation and every single wedding detail of the reception, flowers, photography, make-up, hair style and music that will be customized to suit your wishes.
We will be providing you with a tailor-made service and the guarantee that your wedding day will be perfect from the beginning to the end. We arrange both Civil Ceremonies and Catholic Ceremonies with legal validity, Jewish rites and Protestant ceremonies, Blessings of any religion and Symbolic Ceremonies to be held in the most beautiful settings in Italy.
Foreign citizens can be married in Italy according to Catholic rites. A Roman Catholic ceremony must take place in a Catholic Church. The documents and the compulsory pre cana classes are the same all over the world. You will need to obtain the NIHIL OBSTAT from your local diocese, signed by your bishop, to be married in an Italian parish. The priest in Italy must receive the documents at least one month before the wedding.
We can also arrange weddings according to Protestant, Jewish or Orthodox rites. In these cases, you can be married in a sacred location (church or synagogue) or in a villa, castle, hotel, or garden. We can provide a celebrant, who is officially recognized by the Italian State.
Civil ceremonies take place in town halls, which are usually ancient palazzos or museums. The service is performed in Italian and translated by an interpreter and it lasts about 15-20 minutes. After reading the civil vows, the couple sign the wedding act, together with the witnesses, and receive the wedding certificate in several copies, which has legal validity throughout the world.
The minimum stay required before the wedding day is usually 3/4 days. Town Hall ceremonies are usually performed from Mondays to Saturdays and must be booked in advance (if you are booking a villa to stay, please consider that most of them are booked on a Saturday change over day). Upon confirmation, we will provide you with the list of all the documents required by the local Registrar. A registry fee is usually required by most of the town halls where ceremonies take place.
The legal paperwork that you need to hold a civil partnership ceremony overseas can be confusing. Fortunately, we can help you to get the documents you need. The website of your Country local Embassy has detailed information; please visit the “marriage and civil partnerships abroad” page for useful advice. You should always contact a lawyer in the UK and the local authorities abroad.
Vow Renewal in Italy is designed to celebrate your marriage, anniversary and union, either in a religious or a non-religious way. It is intended for those who have already been married, and allows the couple to renew their promise to each other. Italian vow renewals celebrate the past as well as the future. They are not legally binding and no paperwork is required; they usually consist of an English speaking officiant and can take place anywhere. Since there are no legalities involved, you are free to create the event of your dreams in any of Italy’s stunning surroundings.
The caterers we work with offer high quality food and service and we will help you create the perfect menu for you and your guests based on your personal tastes and in line with the traditional Italian cuisine.
