The easiest way to travel to Lucca is by train. The train runs frequently and is connected to Florence and Pisa, making it easy to stop off in Lucca for a day trip or an overnight stay. Trains run to Lucca frequently, and the airport is connected as well in case you fly in. Visitors can easily take the bus to Lucca but it takes slightly longer than the train.
