Please be aware that the journey time depends upon the traffic, hence the figures concerning time are indicative. The cost of public transport in Italy is very low.

A regular bus service, provided by CONERO connects the Airport to the main railway station (Falconara and Ancona centro) . Tickets are available from the Airport Terminal Building – Linea J runs every 1.5 hrs. from 06.15 to 18.30; Linea C operates 20.50; 21.55; 23.35 Monday to Saturday;

Frequent buses from 06.00 to 20.00 Airport/Brescia city centre/Airport to connect with arrival/departure of Ryanair flights. Journey time 20/25 mins. Direct bus to Verona provided. Journey time 1 hour. Summer schedule only provides a coach to connect with arrival of Ryanair flights to Lago di Garda (via Desenzano sul Garda, Peschiera and Sirmione). Taxis are located outside the Air Terminal Arrivals Hall. The service is operated from 06.00 to midnight.

AMTAB Bus 16: Schedule from/to city centre (Aldo Moro Square): Service starts at 05.00 and ends at 23.00. Frequency: every 60 minutes. Return ride includes stops at Via Capitaneo, Via Ranieri and Via Diaz. It also stops in Corso Italia and Via Quintino Sella. It does not stop in via Duca d’Aosta. Travelling time: 35/40 minutes. ALIBUS shuttle service departs every 20 minutes from the Airport/city centre and central station/Airport. Bus No. 524 operates every 20 mins to Catania Railway Station from 05.00 to midnight. Journey time: 15 minutes.

The Airport can be reached from the centre of Florence, driving the whole length of Viale Guidoni up to the road leading to the “Firenze Nord/Firenze Mare” superhighway (A1 and A11). The Airport also has good connections to the centre of the city, which can be reached in about fifteen minutes by taxi and about twenty minutes by the SITA/ATAF service “Fly by Bus” between the Airport/ Santa Maria Novella Railway Station/Airport. Bus operates every 30 minutes from 06.00-23.30 (from 20.00-23.00 every hour). Taxi to city centre takes 10/20 minutes depending on the traffic. Being in the heart of Florence means being in the heart of Tuscany. In fact the Airport can easily be reached from Prato (8km), Pistoia (24km), Montecatini (36km), Lucca (65km), Siena (68km), Arezzo (77km), Pisa (86km), Carrara and Massa (117km), Grosseto (143km), as well as from the sea and its ports: Livorno (115km) and Piombino (170km).

FORLI’ – RIDOLFI (Bologna)

Forli’ Airport is only 6 km from the A14 motorway exit. Motorways A14 – A1 – E45 serve as quick and easy connections to Rimini, Bologna, Milan and Rome. Bus connections Airport/Forli’ town/Airport timetable 09.30-21.15 (weekdays) 08.35-21.00 (weekends). For Information: Forli’ Airport

Fast link Airport/Porto Principe Station/city centre/Brignole Station/Airport. A quick, reliable bus service with links between Genoa Airport and the city centre every twenty minutes. The first service from Genoa Airport is at 06.15 and the last service is at 22.30. First bus leaves Brignole Station for the Airport at 05.30 and the last service is at 22.30. Tickets can be purchased on board; AMT travel cards are also valid. All buses have air conditioning and special luggage racks. Taxi takes about 30 minutes depending on the traffic.


City Bus no. 73 (ATM 800 016857) operates every 10 minutes from 05.35 to 00.35. From the Airport Arrivals to Piazza San Babila Underground Station the journey time is approximately 25 mins. Fare on sale at newsstands. The 73 Bus has special luggage racks. From the International Arrivals there is a STARFLY Bus service (Tel. +39 02 717106) to Milano Centrale railway station every 30 minutes from 06.05 to 23.35. (also stops at Milan Lambrate Railway Station) and from 05.40 to 21.35 from Milano Central to the Airport. Journey time: 30 minutes. From Linate Airport to Malpensa Airport vice versa there is a bus service operated by AIR PULLMAN CARONTE (Tel. +39 02 2407954) bus service from Linate Airport to Malpensa Airport – via Sesto San Giovanni – operates at the following times: 08.45 12.00 15.30 and 18.30 and takes 1.15 hours. There is a railway connection between Terminal 1 and Milan Cadorna Railway Station (Ferrovie Nord – Malpensa Express Tel. +39 02 20222; website: The 40 minute journey runs at 27 minutes and 57 minutes past the hour throughout the day (from 05.57 to 21.27). The ALIBUS shuttle service operates from the Airport/central railway station/port from 06.30 to 23.30 departure about every 30 minutes. There is also a service Airport/Sorrento/Airport operated by CURRERI ( Journey time: 1 hour. Taxi Service outside the Terminal – Arrivals area to Piazza Garibaldi takes about 30 minutes depending on the traffic.

Bus N. 38 (Tel. +39 085 4321211) operates every 10 minutes to the city centre from 08.00 to 22.30. Journey time is approximately 30 minutes. Bus No. 3 connects the Airport to the central railway station and Piazza dei Miracoli approximately every 20 mins and the fare is €0.80. Travelling along the main streets this bus service crosses the Arno over the Ponte Solferino and arrives at the Field of Miracles (5 minutes from the “Ospedale S. Chiara” stop), where the world famous Leaning Tower is to be found. From the Airport the main bus stops are: Pisa Central Station, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, “Fiume Arno” (4 stops), Santa Chiara Hospital. An €0.80 ticket is valid for one hour on the entire city network. You can buy tickets from the Information Office in the Air Terminal or the automatic ticket machine at the bus terminus. The bus terminus is located just outside the Arrivals area. You can easily recognise this by a green shelter bearing the inscription “City Bus”. A second stop is to be found outside the Departures area near the car park cash desk. A direct train service from Pisa Aeroporto Station links Florence (infrequent service) in a journey time of 1hr. There are also trains from the Airport to Lucca, Montecatini and Pistoia.

Taxi to Pisa city centre costs approximately €6.00-€8 and the journey time is 10 mins. The taxi service is run by CO.TA.PI (Pisa Taxi Co-operative). (€2.07 excess fare on Sundays and Bank Holidays)*. Taxi drivers are obliged to switch the meter on before the start of each journey. The Radio Taxi service operates round the clock, simply dial Tel. No. 050 541600. The taxi ranks are situated at the Airport in front of the Arrivals area, at Pisa Centrale Railway Station, less than 5 minutes from the Airport (Tel. 050 41252) and at Piazza Duomo (Tel. 050 561878). LEONARDO EXPRESS train service from the Airport to Roma Termini central rail station departs every 30 mins. Journey time 30 mins. Fare: €9.50 (€11.00 on board). Operates from 06.37 to 23.37. Last train from Roma Termini central rail station to the Airport is at 22.52. There is also a train service to Tiburtina Station called SM1 every 15 minutes from 05.50 to 23.27. It takes approximately 40 minutes, operates several stops and costs €5. The train service from Tiburtina to the Airport runs every 15 minutes from 05.06 to 22.36 and costs €5. TERRAVISION Bus (Tel. +39 06 65958646 connects the Airport with Termini Railway Station every 2 hours from 08.30 to 20.30. Journey time: 40 mins. Fare: €9.00 one way €15.00 return. COTRAL (Tel. from Italy only 800 150 008) runs a bus service from Fiumicino Airport to Cornelia Tube Station (Linea A) every hour from 05.30 to 19.10. TERRAVISION bus service (Tel. +39 06 65958646) from Airport to Rome Termini central rail station operates in conjunction with arrival and departure of Ryanair flights. Cost is €8 or €13.50 on board (book on-line Buses operated by COTRAL connect the Airport to Ciampino Railway Station and Anagnina (Linea A) underground station. Underground (Metro) from Anagnina to the centre of Rome runs every 10/15 minutes. Bus stop and bus ticket vending machines are situated next to the Departure Hall of the International Terminal. There is a train called SM4 from Ciampino Railway Station to Termini Station in Rome every 10/15 minutes. From the Airport to Rimini Central Railway Station, Public Bus N. 9 every 30 mins. The ticket costs €1 (€1.50 on board) and can be purchased at newsstands. Shuttle bus from 10.30 to 23.15 to the railway station in the city centre. Journey time approximately 40/45 non-stop and costs €8 (ticket on board). APT buses, public transport service, to TRIESTE, UDINE (Coach 51), GORIZIA (Coach 1), GRADO and MONFALCONE operate from the Airport to Trieste city centre from 05.40 to 23.30 Monday to Friday and from 06.04 to 22.04 at weekends. APT also run buses to UDINE. Tickets can be purchased at bus stations or at the Airport (either at the Post Office or at the bar on the first floor). SADEM (Tel. +39 011 3000611, Bus service between Turin Airport and Turin city centre with several stops en-route including Porta Susa Railway Station and Porta Nuova Railway Station. It costs €5 and takes 40 minutes. Bus runs every 30 mins. from 06.20 am to 09.00 am, every 30 mins. from 09.00 to 17.00 and every 45 mins. from 17.00 to 23.30. Tickets can be bought on the bus with a surcharge or at the newsstand at the Airport at the normal price. There is also a daily bus service to Aosta (compulsory stops at Pont St. Martin (Gressoney), Verres (Champoluc – Val d’Ayas) and Chatillon (Cervinia). Autolinee SAVDA (Tel. +39 0165 262027 This service connects Torino Caselle to Aosta twice a day weekdays at 09.15 and 21.45 and weekends at 10.45 and 21.45. Fare €6.30. Journey time: 1.50 h. Buy tickets nearby the bus terminal and on board. The Airport taxi terminal is located at the Arrivals level in front of the exit. Ticket costs €2 (on board €2.50) and can be purchased at the ALILAGUNA ticket office in the Arrivals hall from 08.00 to midnight. Journey time 20 mins. ACTV bus No. 15 operates every half-hour from the Airport to Mestre Railway Station from 06.02 to 21.20. Journey time 30 mins. and costs €1. Bus every 20 minutes from 06.35 to 23.35 to Verona railway station. Fare: €4.50. Journey time: 10/15 minutes. For further information please contact the local tourist office at the Airport (Tel. +39 045 8619163). There are connections with Ryanair flights at 08.00 from Monday to Friday and at 18.00 and 19.30 only Saturday and Sunday. One-way fare €10.33/Return €15.50. During summer months (May to September) at 08.00 and 20.00 there is a frequent Shuttlle bus from Verona train station to Brescia Montichiari Airport. A taxi (+39 Tel. 045 8095923) to the rail station in Verona costs approximately €18 and takes 10/15 minutes. Taxis are located outside the Air Terminal Arrivals hall. Day rate to Verona railway station: €15.50. Night and Sunday rate to Verona railway station: €18.60.



Taxi service is readily available throughout the country and rates are comparable to those charged on average in UK cities. Meters are provided and fares are displayed.
