The nearby areas offer wonderful daytrips to interesting places such as Paestum that is an ancient Greek town. It has three temples and an amphitheatre. The museum of Paestum is also worth a visit.
The Cilento coast is made up of several characteristic and picture perfect fishing villages. One of them is Acciaroli, which the local legend claims is the setting that inspired Hemingway to write his famous novel: "The Old Man and the Sea".
There are many more wonderfully interesting sites in the National Park of Cilento which are worth a visit such as the ancient town of Velia with its "Pink Gate", Palinuro and its beautiful blue caves, Roscigno Vecchia that is a village which has remained intact ever since it was abandoned 100 years ago.

Italian Breaks gave great service and found me a gem of a place to stay in unspoilt Italy. Would highly recommend to anyone but don't want to tell too many people, don't want to make it too popular otherwise I won't get booked in again!\n\nPerfect location, beautiful setting, superb pool and incredibly nice owners. Nothing too much trouble.
